According to sources in Beijing, during the national holiday or ‘Golden week’ starting on October 1st, people will face severe security measures. Those who are going to visit Tiananmen Square, Beijing Olympic Venues and other major scenic spots, will suffer Olympic level security measures.
The Golden holidays were started by the regime to promote the internal tourism market. Some in the regime have called for these holidays to be scrapped, citing their failure to stimulate tourism.
The effects of heightened security in the Olympics prevented tourists from accessing these areas. No credible reasons have been given for the security measures being in place.

The Sanlu milk scandal has been further incensed by reports that the regime is lying about the incident, and forcing people to drink the milk. Sources in Gansu province reported that the company JiuQuan Good Dairy held a press conference stating the milk was safe.
The regime has stepped in and forced all Chinese people who work in the government, the Communist Party and regime controlled enterprises as well as municipal organisations to drink the milk. The regime has subsidised the tainted milk for primary and secondary school children.
Chinese people have been shocked by the abuse of power and have found the measures outrageous. In other countries such as the United Kingdom, major manufacturers and retailers have withdrawn products after tests found them to contain melamine in high amounts.

Dubbed by the Chinese media as China’s foremost combatant against counterfeit medicine, Gao Jingde says that he has discovered through his investigations that 66 percent of China’s drug stores sell counterfeit medicine.
Gao, who graduated from the Anhui Traditional Chinese Medical College, has been working in the field of medicinal science for many years.
According to Gao, the government’s response after reporting a counterfeit was negligible; a fine of up to 4000 yuan ($580).
Recently, Gao was attacked by four men outside of the Nanfang University Medical Center, a hospital he had recently exposed in an investigation. Unless he receives sympathetic treatment, he may become permanently paralysed his doctor warned.

U.S. professor and 1997 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Jody Williams has spoken out over the collusion between global clubs such as ASEAN, the U.N. Human Rights Council and tyrannical regimes.
“They recognize their job as protecting the state rather than protecting the human rights of people from states that violate them,” she said.
She said ASEAN, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, should put more pressure on Myanmar over human rights and democracy rather than buying timber and gems that give the military junta money to support itself.

Failure to deal with climate change now will “haunt humanity” forever, Australia’s top greenhouse advisor has warned as he issued a rallying cry for action.
Professor Ross Garnaut has warmed to the idea of a deep, fast cut to Australia’s emissions in his final report.
He said, “If we fail, on a balance of probabilities, the failure of our generation will haunt humanity until the end of time. We are entering territory here that humanity has not been in before. We will delude ourselves if we think that uncertainty about the climate change science … is a cause for delay.”

New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) has begun an effort to raise money toward directly renting or purchasing satellite access to broadcast into China. Problems had arisen with satellite providers denying service, owing to interference by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
NTDTV, an independent Chinese-language TV network, provides uncensored news concerning China and important issues such as human rights that the current Chinese regime finds threatening.
One satellite transponder can carry multiple TV and radio channels, so NTDTV is seeking independent media to join with them in this effort. “The idea for this platform is to invite all the independent media to join us.”
