Evidence is accumulating that the Chinese regime orchestrated violence in Lhasa in order to discredit the peaceful protests of Buddhist monks.

According to the Dalai Lama’s Chinese translator, Ngawang Nyendra, a witness reported that a Chinese policeman in Lhasa disguised himself as a Tibetan and joined the protesters holding a knife in his hand.

This witness also recognized the man from BBC news footage and news photos provided by China.

A decision at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been made to have reforms to give a bigger role in decision making to developing countries.
The combined voting share for developing countries would be increased at the expense of richer countries.

Decisions at the IMF are taken on the basis of a voting system that gives more votes to larger economies.

The United States alone accounts for around 17 per cent of the vote in the 185-member country IMF.

Alongside Hong Kong’s ceremony to welcome Human Rights Torch and pass it into mainland China, petitioners in Beijing have also begun to take action.

Petitioners have been circulating yellow ribbons and the emblem of the Human Rights Torch bearing the slogan, “same world, same rights.”

The Chinese authorities’ fanatic arrests of petitioners and political dissidents have never died down since the last national congress.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has also tightened their control on Beijing since the Human Rights Torch entered mainland China.

The Dalai Lama recently discarded a series of allegations from the Chinese Communist Regime, saying he does not seek the separation of Tibet and has no desire to “sabotage” the Olympic games.

Issuing a statement while traveling in New Delhi, India, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists called on China “to exercise wisdom and to initiate a meaningful dialogue with the Tibetan people.”

Beijing has blamed the Dalai Lama and his followers for violence that erupted amid protests for Tibetan independence earlier this month, but China has drawn international criticism for its crackdown on the protests that began peacefully.

Award-winning singer, actor and theatre maker, Aurora Kurth, thought the Divine Performing Arts ‘Chinese Spectacular’ in Melbourne was “stunning.”
But it was the drumming that Ms Kurth found the most inspirational.

Mrs Kurth, who has an Advanced Diploma in Acting from The Actors Centre Australia and a Certificate in Theatre Making from The John Bolton Theatre School in Melbourne, found that the show went beyond those above-mentioned inspirations with educational elements.
